Tribunal adjourns hearing challenging Qaim's victory

KARACHI: Election Tribunal on Friday adjourned the hearing of petitions challenging the victories of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Nawab Wassan in the general elections of 2013, ARY News reports.

Ghous Ali Shah of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) had filed a petition against CM Sindh in which it was alleged that he won the elections from PS-29 Khairpur by rigging the polls.

The tribunal adjourned the hearing till 12th November over the absence of the claimant’s counsel from the proceedings today.

Defence lawyer Farooq H. Naek, speaking to media, said that the NADRA report has clarified that no bogus votes were casted in the constituency.
