TTP commander killed in Karachi

KARACHI: A Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander was killed in a shootout with law enforcement agencies in Karachi on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

The TTP Hangu Commander was killed in Muach Goth area of Karachi after a brief encounter between him and law enforcement personnel. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government had put a head money of about one million rupees on the dead TTP militant.

Police arrested two banned outfit militants in injured condition after an alleged encounter with them in Orangi Town area.

A member of elders body of Lyari Amn Committee Abdul Majeed was killed when unknown gunmen opened fire on him near Lyari General Hospital. Abul Majeed died on the spot in the gun attack.

Another person lost life as a result of firing incident in Chakiwara locality of Lyari.
