Imran Khan in a letter written to Justice (retd) Wajihuddin has directed him to stop from holding proceedings of the party’s election tribunal and declared the recent meeting of the election body as unlawful.

Khan has wrote in the letter that Justice Wajihuddin has violated the party rules by  convening the session of the election tribunal despite the party chief’s orders, which has maligned the party.

PTI Chief further said that Justice Wajih instead of hearing the complaint of the party leader Shafqat Mehmood being misguided by unscrupulous people.

Imran Khan has further said that a new election tribunal of PTI has been constituted and advised Justice Wajihuddin not to summon the meeting of the tribunal which stands dissolved.

A two-member tribunal headed by Justice  Wajihuddin was investigating into allegations of irregularities in PTI’s intra-party elections held before the last general elections.

According to sources the tribunal had twice summoned Imran Khan to appear before it but the PTI chief ignored the notice.
