Turkish vigil candles for victims of Peshawar carnage

The barbaric terrorist attack in Peshawar was condemned by all the nations. Where the whole country got united in Pakistan to show solidarity to the departed souls, Turkish and other international students also organized a candle light vigil gathering in Turkey. An event was held at Ankara’s downtown on Wednesday to express solidarity with the victims.

The event was also attended by the ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey M. Haroon Shaukat, who expressed gratitude to the Turkish people and leadership for their steadfast support and solidarity. He also thanked the Turkish government and people for their support in the hour of grief as Turkey’s flag stayed half mast on 17th December as they observed a national day of mourning to show solidarity with Pakistan. The Ambassador said that the two countries share an eternal brotherly relationship.

This was not the only act Turkey did to show support to Pakistan. Earlier, an eight member delegation from Turkish parliament also visited Pakistan Embassy to offer condolences on this terrible incident. Officials of Turkish army and other forces also offered their condolences on Peshawar attack.

Pakistan Embassy in Turkey is organizing a Quran Khawani and offering Fateha for the Peshawar terrorist attack victims today on 19th December.
