Twelve cases sent to military courts: ISPR

According to ISPR, Interior Ministry has forwarded 12 terrorism cases to the military courts after the constitutional amendment. It was stated that the provincial apex committees had sent the cases to the Interior Ministry, that were later forwarded to the military courts.

Sources said that 39 cases will be heard in the military courts in the first phase.

It should be noted that the civilian and military leadership had decided to form military courts  after making amendments in the Army Act and the constitution.

The Parliament had passed the 21st Constitutional Amendment and nine military courts were formed in the country.

Three courts were formed in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) each whereas two courts were constituted in Sindh and one in Balochistan province.
