According to a press release by Inter-Services Public Relations, the operation was carried out on an intelligence cue.
The terrorists were surrounded and 12 militants were neutralized in the operation whereas their accomplices fled without the dead bodies of the slain terrorists.
Large number of explosives and ammunition were also recovered during the offensive.
