According to initial detail, Counter Terrorism Department police raided a house in Khairabad locality of Orangi Town and killed five terrorists after a brief shootout.
Chairman CTD Raja Umer Khattab told media that the raid was conducted on the information of presence of some terrorists. Terrorists opened fire on police personnel upon their arrival, five of them were killed by police during retaliatory fire.
Khattab claimed that two of the terrorists killed in the encounter were al-Qaeda commanders. A huge amount of explosives and firearms were recovered from the terrorists.
Rangers and police have intensified operation in Pakistan’s economic hub and Sindh province’s capital city arresting several target killers, extortionists, kidnappers along with other criminals.
