Two alleged dacoits arrested in Karachi

KARACHI: Two dacoits who allegedly tried to loot a bank at Karachi’s Numaish area were apprehended by law enforcing agencies by the help of CCTV footage, ARY News reports.

The camera footage of the incident was received by ARY News.

The CCTV footage shows that four dacoits stormed into a bank and tried to take the staff hostage. The security guard of the bank resisted them due to which the robbers fled away.

Two of the four robbers have been arrested by the police with the help of the camera footage of the crime scene.

A body of an unidentified person was recovered from Chakiwara area of Lyari whereas a person was injured in a firing incident at Abul Hassan Isfahani Road.

On the other hand, a robber named Ishaq alias Shaakoo was killed in an encounter at New Karachi Industrial Area. Weapons and stolen goods including mobile phones were also recovered from the robber.

Shaakoo’s accomplice managed to escape from the scene.

More than dozen of suspects were rounded up during search operations by law enforcement agencies at Pehlwan Goth, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Shah Faisal Colony areas of the metropolis. They were shifted to an unknown location for investigation.
