Two doctors among seven shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI: Firing and different incidents of violence on Saturday claimed seven lives in Karachi, including two doctors, ARY News reported.

According to details, unknown assassins on Saturday evening gunned down two doctors in Paposh Nagar area of the metropolis, who were identified as Syed Ali Akber and Syed Yawar Hussain. Both the doctors were targeted separately at their respective clinics.

Meanwhile, a man named Abdur Rauf was shot dead in Gulberg.

Police recovered three tortured dead bodies from Mochko, who were identified as Jafar Abbas, Naeem Jafri and Rehan. Among the deceased, one was reported to be a worker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), while the other two were sympathizers, who went missing on January 5.

Earlier in the morning unknown attackers had gunned down a man named Hakim Sadiq in Baldia Town area of the metropolis, the deceased was a local official of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat (ASWJ).
