According to details, unknown assailants killed two policemen near Lee Market in old city area of Karachi while the men in uniform were performing their duties.
The two policemen were busy in snap checking when unknown gunmen opened fire on them killing one on the spot while injuring the other. The other cop was shifted to the hospital where he breathed his last.
The martyred cops were identified as constable Idrees and constable Nadeem.
A number of police personnel have laid down their lives since the start of Karachi operation. The current killings have taken this year’s toll to 32.
