Two sisters killed in Jaranwala firing

JARANWALA: Two sisters were killed and four others wounded in a shooting incident which took place here in Jaranwala, ARY News reported on Monday.

DSP Nawaz Siyal said that two gunmen named Imran Farooqi and Shah Jaan opened fire at the house of a person named Abdul Ghafoor, within the jurisdiction of Rodala Police Station, due to which two sisters 35-year old Kulsoom and 30-year old Bilquees lost their lives.

Injured persons, identified as Aqeel, Mohammad Haneef, Wakeel Ahmed and Nasrullah, were rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.

The attackers managed to escape from the scene after the gun attack. Police conducting raids for the arrest of the culprits.

Initial reports stated that the incident took place due to a longstanding enmity.
