Two suspects arrested from Gaddafi Stadium

LAHORE: Two suspects were arrested from Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium just hours before the second Twenty20 (T20) match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe, ARY News reports.

According to details, law enforcers nabbed two persons from the stadium who had no documents with them.

Police stated that one of the arrested persons identifies himself as Tanveer while the other speaks Pashto and did not state his name.

They have been shifted to an unknown location for investigation.

It should be noted that the T20 series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe is being played under tight security arrangements.

The African side became the first test playing nation to tour Pakistan in six years after the attack on Sri Lankan team at Lahore in 2009.

The spectators have been advised to bring the original National Identity Cards (NIC) to the stadium.
