Two terror suspects killed in Manghopir encounter, hit list found

KARACHI: Police personnel in an operation in Manghopir area of Karachi killed two terrorists in an exchange of fire, ARY News reported on Friday.

A hit list of 11 famous people was also recovered from the slain terrorists apart of arms, hand grenade, laptop and a motorbike.

Police on an intelligence report when conducted raid at Ghazi Goth in Manghopir, only to found the gunmen taking positions waiting for them. The armed men opened fire at the policemen leaving one of them injured.

Policemen in retaliatory fire killed two armed men who said to be members of the outlawed Daesh militant group. Other accused escaped from the scene, police sources said.

Police found a hit list of prominent citizens from the slain terrorists, along with arms, a laptop and a motorbike, officials said.

The list included names of Hassan Abbas Rizvi, who is brother of MQM leader Hyder Abbas Rizvi, Dr. Amir Liaquat, Jibran Nasir, DSP Mehdi Imam, SSP Rao Anwar and other police officials.

The slain terrorists were wanted to police in the incidents of targeted killing of policemen and sectarian murders.
