Two traffic wardens shot dead in Karachi

According to details, unknown assailants opened fire at the traffic wardens at Ayesha Manzil area of the city due to which they were injured. Police said that nine mm pistols were used to carry out the attack.

The policemen succumbed to their injuries when they were being shifted to hospital for medical attendance.

The slain wardens were identified as Shakeel and Akram. Their bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for procedures.

Both officials were shot multiple times from close range, sources said. Emergency and law enforcement personnel reached the spot of the attack and started their initial investigations.

The assailants managed to escape the scene of the incident.

Fear and tension gripped the area following the shooting incident.
