Spokesperson of the U.S. State Department Elizabeth Trudeau in a media briefing has said that United States has serious concerns over the prevailing violence in the region.
She said that the US has not changed its policy over Kashmir and is aware of the situation in the region.
Trudeau went on to say that it is upto Pakistan and India to decide when they want to hold talks over the matter.
“All stakeholders in Kashmir will have to seek a peaceful solution to the dispute,” the state department spokesperson said.
United States will support better bilateral ties between Pakistan and India.
