‘Unheard’ at PCB, Waqar forwards his complaints to minister

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan team headcoach Waqar Younis today met Federal Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada and apprised him of reasons for Pakistan team’s poor showing in the World T20 and loopholes in the cricket setup.

Talking to media after the meeting, Pirzada, who holds the portfolio of Inter-Provincial Coordination, said Waqar was Pakistan’s hero. He assured that he would present the head-coach’s report to the prime minister.

Without naming the Pakistan Cricket Board, he said leaking of Waqar’s report in the media as failure of institutions.

Waqar said his report dont contain anything about rifts within the team. He said he had elaborated problems and issues with the team in his report. “I have told the respected minister about all issues.”
