Unidentified persons gun down police official in Karachi

KARACHI: Unidentified assailants gunned down a police official in the city’s Korangi area, ARY News reported.

Unidentified persons shot to death police official Mohammad Amjad, who was a clerk at Awami Colony police station. After shooting him, the unidentified assailants fled. Before this, Rangers personnel had arrested 4 activists of a banned outfit from the city’s Korangi and Liaquatabad areas.

Police stepped up its efforts to root out criminals in the metropolis. After being engaged in a gun battle, police arrested three robbers in an injured state, from the city’s Korangi no.5 area. Police also took into custody four suspicious individuals during snap checking near Kati Pahari area.
