Urmila Matondkar married in secret at her residence yesterday afternoon with proper Hindu rituals to solemnize their union. According to details, the newly wed bride married her boyfriend Mohsin Akhtar Mir in a private ceremony which was attended by only her relatives and close friends. No high-profile guest was an attendee at the event except for Urmila’s close friend and ace designer Manish Malhotra. Regarding the event, here’s what Urmila Matondkar said:-
“We kept it an exclusive wedding with just family and friends at the celebration. Since our families wanted the wedding to be a low key affair we mutually decided to keep it private. We seek your blessings on embarking this new journey of our lives,” she said.
Designer Manish Malhotra tweeted a picture of the actress dressed as a bride and wished her all the success in the world.

Urmila’s husband Mohsin Akhtar Mir used to be a model who also starred in a couple of forgettable projects. The two reportedly met at designer Manish Malhotra’s niece Rridhi’s wedding in December 2014 and have been inseparable ever since. Urmila Matondkar rose to fame for her sensational film Rangeela from 1995 opposite Aamir Khan and Jackie Shroff. The movie was directed by Ram Gopal Varma and went on to become a blockbuster. Urmila was last seen in the movie Ajoba in 2014. Bollywood superstars Anupam Kher and Sophie Choudry congratulated her on the marriage:-
