US Ambassador meets Khan, discusses situation post Islamabad sit-in

ISLAMABAD: United States (US) Ambassador, Richard Olson on Saturday called on the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan at his Bani Gala residence here, ARY News reported.

According to details, Mr Richard Olson arrived at the residence of the PTI chairman along with a political counsellor. Sources told that the meeting was based on a single point agenda of Islamabad sit-in and the resulting political tension in the country.

ARY News cited sources as saying, “The PTI chairman remained firm on his stance during the meeting with the US Ambassador. He told Richard Olson that worst rigging of the history took place during the elections in 2013, while his party approached all the relative authorities, yet nobody heeded on their just demands”.

Khan told the US Envoy that he staged sit-in in protest against looting of the electoral mandate and his struggle will be continued until justice is not served to them.

Here it is relative to mention that the PTI vice-chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi had also twice met the US Ambassador Richard Olson, in the past few days.
