According to a White House spokesman, the remarks by the Army Chief are of critical importance and are seen with much appreciation. He said that the United States welcomes the efforts and sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the war against terrorism and the ongoing operation.
He said that there had been a tremendous loss of lives in this war against extremism and terrorism. However, he said that Pakistan should continue its grip on terrorists outfits within the country.
Yesterday, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif during his visit to North Waziristan to spend Eid-ul-Fitr with the soldiers on the front lines in the war against terrorism, had said that Pakistan will not allow anyone to use its soil against Afghanistan.
While stating that peace and stability along Pak-Afghan border remains a priority, he instructed all commanders, intelligence agencies and law enforcement agencies to take concrete measures against any violators.
