US appreciates Pakistan for ratifying Paris Agreement on climate change

ISLAMABAD: United States has lauded Pakistan on ratifying the Paris Agreement on climate change.

According to Radio Pakistan, US Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale was addressing an international conference on the effects of climate change in the federal capital.

Hale said that US wants enhanced people-to-people ties with the South Asian country

The US ambassador went on to say that the international community needs to make joint efforts to deal with the issue of climate change as its effects are not limited to a specific region.

Senator Mushahid Hussain, speaking in the conference, termed climate change is the biggest threat to humanity at the moment.

The senator stressed on the need for efforts to ensure the safe future of our upcoming generations.
