US denies Imran’s allegations of political interference

The US Department of State on Friday denied the allegations framed by former cricketer-cum-politician, Imran Khan, of interfering into Pakistan’s internal politics.

Marie Harf, State Department’s deputy spokesperson, repeated that US does not support any extra-constitutional move in Pakistan.

She stated that the US is not involved in the internal political matters of Pakistan, nor it is included in talks between both the parties, in any way.

Harf said US wants peaceful negotiations between the parties, while it is not in favor of overthrowing of the current Pakistani government.

The State Department spokesperson said US wants peaceful resolution of recent political confrontation in Pakistan and it does not support any extra-constitutional steps.
