US tells Pakistan to take indiscriminate steps against terror groups
Deputy Spokesman of the State Department Mark Toner in a press briefing on Wednesday, said that Pakistan is an important country in the region and the United States has good ties with the South Asian country.
“We have made it clear to Pakistan that indiscriminate action should be taken against all terrorist organizations,” the state department spokesman said.
“Terror groups should not be allowed to pose threat to the neighboring countries,” Toner said.
It should be noted that the state department had earlier said in a statement that the US has clarified to Pakistan that it wants the country to act against all terrorist networks without any discrimination.
Pakistan had assured the United States that it will take action against all terrorist groups operating in its territory, the spokesman said.
