US terms Raheel, Kerry meeting as 'meaningful'

WASHINGTON: United States State Department has called the meeting of Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and US Secretary of State John Kerry as meaningful, ARY News reports.

Spokeswoman of the US State Department Marie Harf, in a media briefing, said that United States has not changed its policy regarding the Kashmir Issue.

She said that only Pakistan and India can decide about talks over the Kashmir dispute.

Harf added that US embassies are contacting officials from both countries to know the updates on the situation. She added that Pakistan and India both have to cooperate for ending violence in the region.
