Vote verification in NA-122 halts for no record available

LAHORE: The verification of votes in NA-122 Lahore was halted without any proceedings on Friday, due to unavailability of record, ARY News reported.

Workers of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and the defiant Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) came face to face with each other in NA-122 Lahore, as the returning officer, Shahida Saeed had to verify votes on Friday, however the matter could not proceed due to unavailability of any record.

On this occasion, PMLN and PTI workers came face to face with each other and loudly chanted slogans ‘Go Nawaz Go’ and ‘Ro Imran Ro’.

The process of vote verification will recommence tomorrow.
