War of words: Rangers accuse MQM of 'misleading' people about raids

KARACHI: A verbal war between the paramilitary force and Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) seems to have stirred up again, as the latter issued a statement last night accusing MQM of ‘misguiding’ masses, ARY News reported.

According to sources, the spokesperson of the paramilitary force MQM misguided the masses regarding Rangers’ raids in recent days.

The spokesperson said the details of raid at Nine Zero on March 11 will be released in couple of days.
On the other hand, the MQM said it had not released any statement regarding Rangers raid at Nine Zero or elsewhere.

MQM chief Altaf Hussain is expected to address important meeting at Nine Zero today at 11am regarding Rangers raids, which term illegal. Senior party leaders including Rabita Committee members and parliamentarians.

Rangers on March 11 raided the MQM’s headquarters in Karachi, confiscating a cache of arms and arresting several activists, including one convicted of murdering a journalist. A party activist was killed during Rangers raid.
