VISAKHAPATNAM: A dog brought the first day of the second day test match between India and England to a halt after straying onto the ground in Visakhapatnam during play.

Umpires called for an early tea interval due to the interruption by the dog as the staff and stewards chased the dog, trying to get him out of the field.

The crowd cheered and laughed as the canine kept causing problems for the security guards.

English skipper Alastair Cook was chuckling at the hilarious site of the dog evading stewards through out the cricket ground.

The canine was safely removed from the ground. The umpires, on the other hand, had enough of the situation and called for the end of the day’s play before the scheduled time.

It should be noted that this was not the first time that a dog has interrupted a cricket match. In the 2008 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), a dog interrupted a cricket match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.
