Water influx inundates 20 villages in Jhang

The water level in rivers is continuously rising due to recent downpours in the country. In Jhang, mid-level flood is being observed at Tremoon, while 20 villages have also been inundated here.

A low-level flood is being recorded in Chenab at Head Marala, where from 1, 12,000 cusecs water is flowing.

The administration has also issued a flood warning.

At Guddu Barrage, 2, 12, 000 cusecs water is passing, while residents of Katchha area near Kashmore are facing severe difficulties in this regard.

On the other hand, employees of Irrigation Department are absent from duty despite an emergency imposed in these areas, which is affecting ongoing works at Old Tori, New Tori, KK and other dykes.
