According to a statement from the WB, the purpose of the loan is to increase production of the agriculture sector and providing access to small farmers to big markets.
The loan will be distributed among 1,12,000 (0.12 million) small farmers possessing 66,000-acres of land as a whole. The loan will also encourage investment from the private sector, added the WB statement.
The period for repayment of loan will be 25 years. It is pertinent to mention here that the loan provided by the World Bank is a part of its interest rate programme.
