We are ready to resume flight operations: PALPA chief

KARACHI: The chief of the Pakistan Airline Pilots Association Aamir Hashmi told ARY News that the association was ready to fly PIA’s planes, provided that the government was willing to provide them security.

“We are not in favour of disrupting flight operations but the situation became such that we had no choice. A three-day mourning period has already happened and we cannot have flight operations suspended indefinitely. Many of our pilots are ready to resume operations immediately,” he told ARY News.

The PALPA chief also said that his members had received death threats preventing them from resuming operations. “I have proof of this,” he said.
