Speaking at the National Assembly, Pervaiz Rasheed said a strong message should be conveyed to terrorists and extremists that they could not impact Pakistan with such attacks. He urged the nation to carry on with their routine activities and not let such attacks get to them.
“Airplanes should keep flying, trains should be on-schedule, offices and schools should remain open,” he said. “Similarly, the Parliament should also stick to doing its job and also condemn this terrorist attack.”
During his speech, he also cautioned against issuing such statements or using words which could affect the morale of security officials and law enforcement personnel, who were taking part in the security operation against militants in Bacha Khan University. He also praised the efforts of police and said they conducted their duties on time and had they not, it would have caused more losses.
He also said the Prime Minister was making inquiries and receiving information regarding the Charsadda attack. He said a full detailed report will be presented before the parliament, regarding the attack on Bacha Khan University.
