CHINIOT: Police arrested a large cache of ammunition from Chiniot, ARY News reported on Friday.
According to details, law enforcement personnel seized a vehicle carrying 19 rifles, 69 pistols, six kalashnikovs, 22000 bullets and six kilograms of hashish.
The driver of the vehicle named Shafiq was arrested and was shifted to an investigation centre for questioning.
Police stated that the main culprit behind the arms-smuggling bid is a police constable stationed in Dara Adam Khel.
Initial investigation has revealed that the suspect has been involved in smuggling of weapons before as well.
