Will try to hold PSL final in Karachi next year, says Sethi

KARACHI: Chairman of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Najam Sethi has said that the management will try to organize the final of the tournament’s next year edition in Karachi, ARY News reported.

He expressed the opinion while talking in ARY News talk show ’11th Hour’ hosted by Waseem Badami.

The PSL chief said that he gets happy when seeing Karachi Kings franchise working hard for the sport.

Sethi said that the tournament’s enthusiasm is higher than ever before. He added that nobody could have thought that this tournament would have become such a huge success.

The PSL chairman further said that he welcomes former cricketer Imran Khan’s wishes of dealing with the cricketing matters of Pakistan.

Owner of Karachi Kings and Chief Executive Officer of ARY Digital Network Salman Iqbal said that the city of Quaid has not lost its charm and the people of the city will flock at the National Stadium for the launching ceremony of the team.

“I want cricketing fans reach the stadium in large numbers,” Mr. Iqbal said.

Karachi Kings owner said that the team will do everything they can to emerge victorious in this year’s edition.  He added, “Our job is to make the best team and it is the job of the players to perform on the field.”

Mr. Iqbal said that the final of the tournament is being played in Lahore. He said that it would have been better if a play-off being organized in Karachi.
