Wooing voters: PTI to take out rally in Karachi today

KARACHI: Gearing up to garner public support in upcoming by-election in National Assembly constituency (NA-246), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will take out a rally from Water Pump today, ARY News reported.

PTI workers have started gathering beneath Karimabad flyover where the party has established its election camp. The rally will be taken out at 4pm from Water Pump intersection.

Key PTI leaders are also expected to take part in the rally.

Yesterday, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali had ordered provision of adequate security to rallies and public gatherings of PTI in Karachi.

A violent face-off between PTI and MQM workers had erupted on Friday night in Karimabad, when the PTI convoy had reached the area as part of their election campaign.

At least seven persons were arrested on charges of inciting violence. PTI camp was also uprooted during the brawl between political activists.
