Worker's killing: MQM approaches federal govt

KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: Following the killing of MQM activist Sohail Ahmed, some high-level telephonic contacts ensued between Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the federal government with former raising serious security concerns in the metropolis, ARY News reported.

According to details, MQM leader Babar Ghouri on Wednesday evening telephoned Ishaq Dar and expressed his grave concerns over extra-judicial killings of his party activists in Karachi.

In his telephonic conversation with the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Ghouri once again conveyed same concerns, to which the premier responded that nobody will be allowed for killing a person extra-judicially.

He assured the MQM leader that an action will be taken against those involved in the killing of MQM worker, Sohail Ahmed.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan made a telephonic contact with Governor Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ebad and held a detailed discussion with him pertaining to the killing of MQM workers.
