Bangladesh, being sent in to bat first, scored 180/2 in their 20 overs as Tamim Iqbal became the first Bangladeshi batsman to score a century in the shortest format of the game.

He scored an unbeaten knock of 103 runs from 63 balls with the help of 10 boundaries and five sixes.

Sabbir Rehman also scored 44 runs from 26 balls with five fours and a six to his name.

Khawar Ali and Ajay Lalcheta each got a wicket.

Oman, chasing 120 runs from 12 overs under the D/L method, could only managed 65/9 in the innings with only two of its batsmen scoring in double figures.

Jatinder Singh and Adnan Ilyas scored 25 and 13 runs for their team respectively.

Shakib Al Hasan was the stand out bowler for the team as he took four wickets for the side.

The Bangladesh side will take on Pakistan in their first match of the main draw on 16th March at Kolkata.
