World T20: Bangladesh edge past Netherlands in qualifier

Netherlands won the toss and sent Bangladesh to bat.

The Bangladeshi team scored 153/7 in their 20 overs. Tamim Iqbal remained unbeaten at 83 runs from 58 balls with three sixes and four boundaries.

Soumya Sarkar and Sabbir Rahman made 15 runs each for the team.

Timm van der Gugten was the stand out bowler as he picked three wickets for the team whereas Paul van Meekeren dismissed two Bangladeshi batsmen.

The Dutch side, chasing 154 runs to win, were restricted to 145/7 in their 20 overs. Stephan Myburgh and Peter Borren made 29 runs each for the Netherlands side. Ben Cooper made 20 runs with the bat.

Al-Amin Hossain and Shakib Al Hasan grabbed two wickets for the team.
