WASHINGTON: WWE legend Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka passed away at the age of 73 on Sunday, ARY News reported.
He wrestled in many promotions throughout his professional career but was best known for his stint with WWE.
Snuka introducing high-flying wrestling in WWE. He was a two time Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) champion and was the first Wrestlemania opponent of The Undertaker.
His children Jimmy Reiher, Jr. and Tamina Snuka have also wrestled in the WWE ring.
The WWE superstar was indicted and arrested over charges of murder and involuntary manslaughter charges of his girlfriend Nancy Argentino, who died from her injuries.
A judge had ended the case against sports-entertainer after ruling him mentally incompetent to stand trial.
Several WWE superstars have expressed their condolences on the death of Snuka.
