WWE Smackdown: Rusev defends US title, Ziggler win

United States Champion Rusev won a battle royal to retain his championship whereas Dolph Ziggler earned a count-out victory over Intercontinental Champion Luke Harper on WWE Smackdown, ARY News reports.

Daniel Bryan, who was incharge of the show for the night, ordered Rusev to defend his US Championship in a 20 man Battle Royal after the Super Athlete refused to swear allegiance to the flag of the United States on Raw.

The Russian superstar managed to overcome the odds against him and won the battle royal.

Meanwhile, Dolph Ziggler defeated Luke Harper via count-out in their Intercontinental title match.

“The Showoff” received a hellacious beating at the hands of the IC Champion but came back in the ring in the last seconds.

However, the title did not change hands due to a count-out.

Ryback defeated Seth Rollins via disqualification after “The Big Man” was chokeslammed on a steel chair by Kane.

The New Day (Big E. Langston, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) defeated Heath Slater, Titus O’Neil and Curtis Axel in a six man tag team match on Smackdown.

Nikki Bella defeated Emma in a singles match.

The Big Show expressed his outraged on being judged by WWE Universe and superstars like Erick Rowan during Miz TV, hosted by WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz and Damien Mizdow.

Bray Wyatt said that he “controlled the demons” that were playing inside his rival Dean Ambrose’s head.
