International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the fresh test rankings of the teams.

Pakistan failed to capitalize on the opportunity of becoming the top test team in the world following back to back losses at the hands of England at Manchester and Birmingham in the ongoing test match series.

Australia tops the test team rankings whereas India and Pakistan are at second and third place respectively.

Yasir Shah, who topped the bowlers rankings in the test format following his heroics at Lord’s, is now fifth place in the standing.

England’s James Anderson tops the bowlers rankings whereas India’s Ravi Ashwin and Stuart Broad of England are at second and third place respectively.

Apart from captain Misbah-ul-Haq, not a single Pakistani batsman is in the top 10 spots in the test ranking for batsmen.

Steve Smith of Australia tops the batsmen rankings followed by England’s Joe Root and Kane Williamson of New Zealand.

Misbah-ul-Haq is at eighth spot in the test batsmen ranking.
