Younis hopeful of Pakistan’s qualification in WC final

KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan has expressed hope that Pakistan will qualify for the World Cup 2015 final, which is scheduled to be held in Australia & New Zealand in February next, ARY News reported.

After inaugurating the inter-school district tournament in Karachi, the star batsman said World Cup trophy’s unveiling ceremony in Pakistan had revived the glorious past memories.

He maintained that Pakistan was a strong side. If it plays up to its potential, it will certainly reach the finals of the mega event, he added.

He hailed Afridi as a good captain who knew how to let team fight in the ground.

Khan said it would be honour for him if he reached the level of Miandad’s record in Test matches.
