Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz on Friday night posted a message on her official twitter account saying ‘YouTube is back’.
YouTube is back !! Yessss !
— Maryam Nawaz Sharif (@MaryamNSharif) February 26, 2015
Following her tweet, when people tried to log on to the video-sharing website many remained successful in watching videos while others failed to explore the website.
YouTube has been blocked in Pakistan since September 2012 over its failure to remove the controversial and blasphemous movie against Islam, which sparked furious protests around the world. Many petitions, challenging the ban, have been filed in the courts against the ban, but no decision has been given over the matter so far.
