Zain murder case: Claimant Sohail Afzal refuses to identify accused

LAHORE: The claimant in Zain murder case, Sohail Afzal on Saturday refused to identify the accused before an anti-terrorism court (ATC) and submitted his written statement, ARY News reported.

Will another innocent have to fall prey to VIP culture, whether the claimant refused due to bullying or was it greed behind such a decision?

The case took a dramatic turn as the claimant Sohail Afzal retracted from his statement in the ATC.

Afzal in his statement submitted in the ATC mentioned none of the accused including Mustafa Kanju. He stated that he was present at the site of incident, but he does not know the name of suspects.

The court while granting permitting prosecution to cross-examine the claimant adjourned the hearing till August 20.

On April 2, Mustafa Kanju – son of former federal minister Siddique Kanju – had shot dead Zain, 16, after a petty argument over a car accident in Lahore.
