Zain Murder Case: Court grants eight-day remand of Mustafa Kanju

Mustafa Kanju, a son of former state minister for foreign affairs Siddique Kanju, had allegedly opened fire on a vehicle near Cavalry Ground area of Lahore, which led to the killing of a teenager Zain, while a pedestrian was injured in the incident.

Mustafa Kanju and his security guards produced before the ATC in Lahore today.

Police had sought 14 days remand of the accused from the court but the judge granted eight days physical remand. The court later adjourned the case till April 11.

Accused Mustafa Kanju talking to media claimed that the teenager was killed in the firing of his guard. Kanju’s counsel told media that his client will prove his innocence in the case.

Accused Mustafa Kanju had presented himself in the office of SSP Investigation yesterday for arrest.
