According to details, a ceremony was held at the Chief Minister House Karachi on Wednesday to pay tribute to the police martyrs.
The ceremony was attended by families of the martyrs, members of the Sindh Assembly and some high-ranking police officials.
On this occasion, Asif Ali Zardari – the chief guest of the ceremony – handed over compensation cheques to the heirs of the martyrs.

Later during his address, he announced that the children of police martyrs will be provided free education at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST).
The PPP co-chairman also vowed to fulfill all requirements of the martyrs’ families.
