Zardari hints at MQM induction in Sindh govt

KARACHI: Former president and co-chairperson PPP Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday constituted a committee for negotiations with Mutahidda Qaumi Movement to bring them back in the Sindh government, ARY News reported.

Zardari issued these directives during a luncheon meeting at Bilawal House Karachi with PPP lawmakers.

The committee, formed by Mr. Zardari, will headed by Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah.

During the meeting, the PPP co-chairperson sought opinion of Pakistan People’s Party provincial legislators regarding MQM’s induction into the provincial government. Most of the MPAs remain tight-lipped on the matter.

However, when Zardari himself referred Nadir Magsi to share his views on the matter. He replied, “Apart from personal opinion, it’s politically a wise decision to bring MQM back into the Sindh government.”

Party leader Kulsoom Chandio also supported the idea to include MQM in PPP-led Sindh government.
