“Mr. Zardari has issued a statement based on some ‘misconception’, he will soon realize it,” said the minister at a presser here.
The minister ruled out the incumbent government was resorting to ‘politics of victimization’ against its opponents.
Referring to arrest of PPP leader Dr Asim Hussain, the minister said “whoever is innocent will soon return home. Nobody should be worried about it.”
He added that the Prime Minister had promptly taken the notice shortly after Dr. Hussain was picked by law enforcers. He said investigations were underway with some people in Karachi and the courts will decide about it.
The whole nation is standing by Pakistan Army, he said.
The government has to bear bitter taunts of the opposition, said the minister.
Turning his guns on PTI chief Imran Khan, Rasheed said the PTI chief knew very well that he would suffer defeat in the by-elections.
He said the local bodies’ elections under the same members of the Election Commission were accepted.
