Zardari summons Sindh CM, others to Dubai for key meeting

KARACHI: People’s Party’s Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has summoned Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to Dubai immediately to discuss important issues, citing sources ARY News reported on Monday.

According to sources, Qaim Ali Shah will proceed to Dubai today.

Chief Minister of Sindh will discuss the political situation of Sindh with Zardari. He will brief the PPP Co-chairman about the situation after arrest of Dr. Asim Hussain, sources said.

Apart of Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Asif Ali Zardari’s sister Faryal Talpur, Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal, Sindh Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other party leaders have also been summoned in Dubai to attend the important meeting, sources said.

Sources said the PPP leadership would discuss current political situation, especially the ongoing action of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against corrupt bureaucrats and the upcoming local bodies elections in Sindh.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned a meeting of the Apex Committee on September 10 to discuss the implementation of the national action plan against terrorism.

Army Chief Gen. Raheel Sharif, provincial chief ministers and other top officials will attend the meeting.

Former president Asif Ali Zardari and top leadership of PPP has been in Dubai and managing the party matters from abroad after recent crackdown against corruption in which Dr. Asim Hussain, a former federal minister of PPP government and several top officials have been arrested.
