Zil Haj moon not sighted, Eid-ul-Azha will be on Oct 6

KARACHI: The crescent of Zil Hajj 1435 AH wasn’t sighted on Thursday, Eid-ul-Azha in Pakistan will be celebrated on October 6, ARY News reported.

The meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee held in the building of Pakistan Meteorological Department, Karachi chaired by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman. The meeting was attended by scholars belonging to different school of thoughts and astronomers.

Meanwhile, district Ruet-e-Hilal committees met at their respective headquarters. The Islamabad capital Territory (ICT) Zonel Committee met at the building of Ministry of Religious Affairs, near General Post Office (GPO).

Addressing a press conference Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman announced that no evidence of moon sighting was received from any part of the country.

Pakistan Meteorological Department has also confirmed that moon wasn’t sighted and 1st Zil Haj will be on Monday, September 27.
