Nisar says 100 million SIMs still unverified in country

Speaking at the floor of the lower house of the parliament the interior minister claimed that the situation has improved in the country.

He said that 60 groups have been banned in Pakistan, while the United Nation has announced ban over 177 entities including 10 Pakistani groups. He said the government will soon announce a clear policy about the outlawed groups.

He said after lifting of ban on executions by the prime minister 22 death row prisoners have been hanged, while 17 others will also be executed soon.

Nisar further said that the hearing of 12 terrorism cases in military courts will begin soon.

The interior minister disclosed that around 100 million mobile phone SIMS have been unverified in the country. He said the SIMS are being used as weapons by the criminals.
